Three Israeli soldiers were killed and three were wounded in fighting in the northern Gaza Strip, bringing the toll of the ground offensive to 401. The soldiers were hit by a large explosive device during operations in Beit Hanoun. In a separate incident, an Israeli Air Force attack helicopter struck a group of Hamas operatives at a former school in Jabalia. The building had also served as a shelter for displaced Gazans. The IDF said it took steps to mitigate civilian harm, but Gaza's Civil Defense reported at least nine people were killed in the strike.
