The Democrats party chairman Yair Golan is suing two coalition lawmakers for defamation after they accused him of espionage. Golan claims that Likud MK Tally Gotliv and Otzma Yehudit's Almog Cohen spread conspiracies and lies about him. Gotliv previously received a warning letter demanding damages and a public apology. Golan vows to dismantle the 'poison machine' and continue his fight. Other coalition MKs, including Deputy Knesset Speaker MK Nissim Vaturi, have also spread conspiracy theories about Golan.
