The High Court of Justice has ordered the state to provide details on how it intends to enforce the conscription of ultra-Orthodox men and combat refusal to respond to IDF draft orders. The state has until January 30 to respond. The court also asks for details on the steps that will be taken to ensure Haredi men are drafted, including whether draft orders will automatically be issued for Haredi 18-year-olds. In a landmark ruling in June, the High Court ruled unanimously that the government must draft ultra-Orthodox yeshiva students into the military.
