King Abdullah of Jordan welcomed Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican secretary of state, at Al-Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Sunday. They discussed the need to stop Israel's war on the Gaza Strip and increase humanitarian aid. They also warned of aggressive Israeli policies in occupied East Jerusalem and its effect on holy sites.
