The Knesset House Committee has approved MK Idan Roll's request to resign from the Yesh Atid party. Roll stated that Israeli society has undergone a significant upheaval and called for a new liberal agenda. He criticized Yesh Atid party chairman Yair Lapid and expressed his desire for the party to become more open. Roll plans on establishing a new faction called National Majority. He is now forbidden by law to run in the next election under any party currently in the Knesset.
