Explosions were heard over Jerusalem after sirens blared across the city and central Israel on Saturday morning, while the Israeli military said a projectile had been launched from Yemen. The military later confirmed that the projectile had been intercepted. Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels have been launching missile and drone attacks on Israel since the war in Gaza began in October 2023. The Houthis have warned that they will continue their attacks if Israel does not respect the terms of its ceasefire with Hamas.
