More than 50 British MPs have called for an independent investigation into the policing of Palestine protests in London, where at least 77 people were arrested. The MPs expressed concern over the actions of the Metropolitan Police and requested an investigation from the home secretary. They highlighted the obstacles put in place by the police and questioned their claims of a forcible breach of police lines. The MPs also raised concerns about the denial of civil liberties and freedom to protest. There have been 24 national demonstrations in the UK in solidarity with Palestinians since the start of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip.
