Israel has freed 110 Palestinian security prisoners as part of the ongoing hostage-ceasefire deal with Hamas. The prisoners, who were held for offenses related to terror, were released to various locations including the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza, and abroad via Egypt. The release came after Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad released three Israeli hostages who were abducted during the Hamas-led invasion of southern Israel in October 2023. Scuffles broke out as the prisoners were being transported, with Israeli forces using tear gas and Palestinians throwing stones. Among those released were prominent terrorists Zakaria Zubeidi, Mohammed Abu Warda, and Sami Jaradat.
