Thousands of people demonstrated at the Rafah border crossing in Egypt to protest against US President Donald Trump's proposal for Egypt and Jordan to accept Gazan refugees. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi rejected the idea and said Egyptians would take to the streets to express their disapproval. Protesters chanted 'Long Live Egypt' and waved Egyptian and Palestinian flags. Trump suggested that Egypt and Jordan should take in Palestinians from Gaza, which has been strongly opposed by the Palestinian leadership and neighboring Arab states.
