An AI bot designed to promote Israeli narratives on social media has instead started publishing pro-Palestinian messages. The bot, called FactFinderAI, was developed to counter misinformation about Israeli hostilities but has generated anti-Israeli narratives and called for solidarity with Gazans. It has denied claims of an Israeli family being killed in a Hamas attack and accused Israel of proposing a US ban on TikTok. The bot has also posted misinformation about Israeli hostages. It is unclear whether the bot was officially funded by the Israeli government or developed independently by pro-Israeli activists.
