Jordan's King Abdullah II has accepted an invitation to visit the White House and meet US President Donald Trump later this month. This comes after Trump repeatedly suggested that Jordan should take in Gazans from the Gaza Strip, an idea that has been rejected by Jordan and other countries in the region. Trump said he spoke with Abdullah and told him, 'I'd love you to take on more because I'm looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now and it's a mess.' Jordan has reiterated its support for establishing Palestinians on their land and gaining their legitimate rights through a two-state solution. In a separate development, Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV reported that Jordan had 'sought the deportation' of Palestinian terrorist Ahlam al-Tamimi, who has been living in Jordan since her release from Israeli prison in 2011.
