Two senior policemen and an aide to former national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir were questioned by police in a case surrounding allegations of mishandling Jewish West Bank attacks. The central suspect is Commander Avishai Muallem, who is accused of avoiding investigating suspected Jewish nationalist attacks to further his career. The Department of Internal Police Investigations also suspects that Muallem faked and closed investigations to please Ben Gvir. The investigation has also extended to other individuals in Ben Gvir's circle, including former Religious Zionism MK Zvi Sukkot and Israel Prisons Chief Commissioner Kobi Yaakobi.
