A woman died of hypothermia in Eilat as a winter storm brought strong winds, rain, and plunging temperatures to Israel. Flash flood warnings were issued for wadis in the Dead Sea area and Judean desert. Snowfall was reported in higher areas in the north, but did not lead to school closures. Jerusalem experienced the heaviest rainfall, with 51 millimeters of rain falling. The cold snap is expected to continue with more rain and cold next week.
