Expatriate remittances from Saudi Arabia reached a three-year high of $38.45 billion in 2024, a 14% increase from the previous year, according to data from the Saudi Central Bank. Remittances sent abroad by Saudi citizens also reached a two-year high of $18.29 billion, a 10.74% increase compared to 2023. The surge in remittances can be largely attributed to the robust growth of the Saudi economy driven by Vision 2030 projects, as well as the high demand for laborers from different parts of the world. The top destinations for remittances from Saudi Arabia align closely with the largest expatriate communities in the country, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and the Philippines.
