The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve is home to thriving wild hares, which adapt to various environments and have a gestation period of about 40 days. The reserve's development authority aims to breed and reintroduce wild hares into their natural habitats through conservation programs. Spanning 130,700 sq. km across four administrative regions, the reserve recently earned international environmental certifications and became the first Saudi reserve to be listed on the Green List of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
