Master Sgt. Avihay Amsalem, 30, was killed in battle with Hamas terrorists during the invasion of southern Israel. He served in the 551st Reserve Paratroopers Brigade and was buried on October 11 in Hadera. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, parents, and siblings. Avihay and his wife also served as live-in parental figures at a youth village, counseling at-risk youth. He was known for his moral values and humility.
