Israeli airline Arkia has decided to extend the operation of its Tel Aviv-New York route until at least October, and will also add new European destinations. The airline is betting that Israelis will eagerly return to book holidays abroad during the spring and summer peak seasons. Arkia CEO Oz Berlowitz stated that they see the Israeli tourist gradually returning to plan long-term vacations. The announcement comes after Arkia launched direct flights from Tel Aviv to New York in February, marking the airline's first time flying to the United States. Starting in March, Arkia will also add new destinations to Greece, Hungary, Albania, and Madrid, offering flights to a total of 30 destinations.
