Northern Ireland's First Minister expresses disbelief at a deal for a Belfast plant to supply missiles to Ukraine, citing the need for investment in public services. The UK Government has announced that the Thales plant in east Belfast will supply 5,000 air defence missiles to Ukraine in a deal worth up to £1.6 billion. The Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, stated that the missiles will be vital for protecting critical infrastructure and strengthening Ukraine's peace efforts. DUP leader Gavin Robinson described the deal as significant for the Belfast workforce and highlighted the contribution of previous missiles built in Belfast to the defence of Ukraine.
