Stunt, the ex-husband of Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone, was accused of being part of an international enterprise that turned cash from drugs gangs into gold. While celebrating his acquittal, Stunt's relationship with the King was revealed through private correspondence. The letters from the then Prince of Wales expressed warmth and gratitude for Stunt's philanthropy, which included donating valuable paintings to the Prince's Foundation. However, it was later discovered that four of the paintings were counterfeits.
