Man charged with hate crimes for threats against New York synagogue

A man has been charged with hate crimes for making threats against a New York synagogue. Luis Ramirez, 23, was arrested in New Jersey after allegedly threatening violence against Central Synagogue in Manhattan. Ramirez, who was discharged from a military training school for psychological reasons, posted threatening statements on social media, including claiming to be Adolf Hitler in a past life. The Manhattan District Attorney's office has charged him with making a terroristic threat as a hate crime. The suspect's posts were identified by a Jewish security group, leading to his arrest.
