Smotrich: Government establishing 'migration administration' for Gaza exodus

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced that the Israeli government is working to establish a 'migration administration' to oversee the exodus of Palestinian residents from the Gaza Strip. The plan, which is being developed in coordination with the Trump administration, aims to find countries that will take in the Gazans who leave. Smotrich estimated that if 5,000 people leave Gaza per day, it will take a year to complete the exodus. The Palestinian Authority and Arab nations have rejected the plan, and two key Arab organizations have endorsed an Egyptian counterproposal that aims to rehabilitate Gaza while leaving its inhabitants in place.
