The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed the reinstatement of Syria as a member state. The decision was made during an extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Jeddah. The OIC Secretary-General called it a historic decision that shows support for the Syrian people during a critical period. The meeting also focused on addressing Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.
