Police seized several illegally trafficked monkeys and lion cubs after videos of the animals went viral on social media. The animals were found in different locations in Israel and were handed over to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority for care and medical examinations. The animals will not be released back into the wild due to the trauma they experienced in captivity. Police are continuing their efforts to locate the suspects involved in the illegal trafficking.
