Russia's seaborne grain exports dropped by 52.3% year-on-year in February to 2.4 million metric tons, due to export quotas and bad weather at ports. Total seaborne exports this season are down 4.1% compared to the previous year. Russia's grain exports for the 2024/2025 season are expected to fall by one-fifth from the prior season's record. Black Sea exports fell by 44.2% and Caspian Sea exports fell by 62.3%, while Baltic Sea exports surged by 654% in February.
