Israel has extended its ground operations in Gaza after launching a wave of deadly air strikes that killed over 430 people. The renewed assault marks the end of a ceasefire deal that had been in place since January. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said troops had moved into the Netzarim Corridor to create a buffer between the north and south of the Strip. Air strikes continued on Wednesday, with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stating that any ceasefire negotiations would now take place 'under fire'.
