Police have detained and questioned two suspects as part of an investigation into alleged Qatari payments to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's aides. The arrests were made after recordings were aired in which an Israeli businessman admitted to transferring money from a US lobbyist to a Netanyahu aide. The suspects were detained on suspicion of maintaining contact with a foreign agent and money laundering. The investigation is subject to a court-issued gag order.
