The Shin Bet and Israel Police have foiled a plot to carry out a ramming attack against Israeli soldiers. Jihad Zureiqat, a resident of Kafr Kanna, was arrested on suspicion of committing security offenses. He allegedly planned to carry out a car-ramming attack against soldiers following violent incidents. Zureiqat embraced Hamas ideology and planned to attack security forces in the area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Another plot to carry out a shooting attack in the Old City of Jerusalem during Ramadan was also thwarted.
