Paul Weiss, a New York law firm, has agreed to do $40 million worth of pro bono work on causes championed by President Trump in order to escape his executive order that would have suspended the firm's security clearances and barred its lawyers from federal buildings. The firm, one of the largest in the nation, has a revenue of over $2.6 billion and represents some of the world's wealthiest companies. The deal with Trump has led to criticism from some who believe the firm betrayed its principles by giving in to the president instead of fighting him in court.
