The Defense Ministry's Rehabilitation Department has received approximately 16,000 soldiers for treatment since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, with many suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Around half of the soldiers received have PTSD, with 2,900 experiencing both physical injuries and psychological distress. The rehab department is currently working with a total of 78,000 wounded veterans, including those from previous wars, and predicts that by 2030, they will be treating around 100,000 veterans, with at least half of them suffering from PTSD.
