France's main Jewish association has distanced itself from the invitation of two key figures in the French far-right to attend a conference in Israel on the fight against antisemitism. The invitation came from Israel and does not involve the Jewish institutions of France, according to the head of the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions. The French Jewish association stressed the need for critical distance towards the far-right party and expressed concern that the fight against antisemitism is being exploited politically.
