Two other Palestinians were arrested alongside Oscar-winning activist Hamdan Ballal for alleged rock-throwing during a reported settler attack on Susya in the southern West Bank village. The Israel Defense Forces stated that the violence began when terrorists threw rocks at Israeli citizens and their cars, leading to a violent confrontation between Palestinians and Israelis. Troops arrived to disperse the conflict and arrested three Palestinians, including Ballal, and an Israeli suspected of participating in the violence. The IDF denied that any of the Palestinians were arrested in an ambulance.
