A new survey by the Truman Institute at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem reveals that religious Zionist Israelis are growing increasingly critical of ultra-Orthodox communities and their disconnection from the rest of the nation. The survey shows that more religious Jews believe it is important for the ultra-Orthodox to share the burden of military service with the rest of the nation. However, fewer of them believe that the Gaza war has highlighted the contributions of the ultra-Orthodox to society. The survey is part of a larger effort to research Haredi society by the Truman Center.
