Thousands rally in Tel Aviv for hostages and against 'the Oct. 7 government'

Thousands of Israelis rallied in Tel Aviv for the release of hostages and to protest against the government. The protest turned violent when police officers clashed with demonstrators, resulting in the arrest of seven protesters. Former IDF general Noam Tibon criticized the government for endangering the hostages, while former police chief Roni Alsheich called on fellow members of the national religious camp to speak out against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government. The protest took place amidst the government's passage of judicial overhaul legislation and an ongoing impasse in the hostage negotiations.
