South Koreans are increasingly raising awareness on Palestine through creative expressions of solidarity. Advocacy for Palestine has gained traction in South Korea, with more than 230 civil society groups joining together in a visible movement. The solidarity movement incorporates diverse advocacy methods, such as holding banners, hosting readathons, and performing traditional dances. Social media has played a major role in amplifying these efforts. The movement has attracted a broad and varied base of supporters, with a recent study finding that support for the Palestinian cause has increased while support for Israel has plummeted. Student activism has also contributed to the expansion of the solidarity movement.
