Poll: 70% of Israelis don't trust government, including almost half of coalition voters

A majority of Israelis do not trust the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a recent poll. The public is opposed to the government's policy on hostages and disapproves of the budget passed this week. The poll also revealed dissatisfaction with the budget and concerns about the distribution of funds. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich received low marks in the poll, and there is widespread opposition to the controversial judicial overhaul legislation. Despite the opposition to Netanyahu's policies, he still polled strongly compared to most of his rivals.
