Five Israelis accused of raping a British tourist in Cyprus in 2023 have been acquitted by a Cyprus court. The court accepted the defendants' claims that the accuser was unreliable, and no appeal will be filed by the state. The five individuals, aged 19-20, were released from custody after being arrested for crimes including rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and abduction. One of the defendants expressed relief and happiness at being released after a year and a half in prison.
