The New York State Attorney General's Office has put a stop to a car wash's discriminatory scam that targeted Jews preparing for Passover. The car wash, located in Rockland County, charged Jewish customers more for the same service and denied them the standard, cheaper cleaning. The investigation found that the car wash had been promoting Passover services since 2018 and had sold over 250 Passover cleanings, amounting to more than $35,000 in sales. The car wash has been ordered to stop the discriminatory practices and will face a $75,000 penalty if it does not comply.
