Residents of the war-devastated village of Aitaroun in Lebanon marked the Muslim holiday of Eid Al-Fitr among their dead. The village, heavily damaged during the war between Hezbollah and Israel, saw over 100 residents, including fighters from Hezbollah, killed. Despite the destruction, residents defied the world by celebrating Eid with their martyrs. The war resulted in the killing of Hezbollah's leader and other commanders, and while the group's military infrastructure was devastated, it continues to claim victory. Israel has carried out air raids in Lebanon since the ceasefire, targeting what it says are Hezbollah military targets.
