The management of Kibbutz Nir Oz has reached a $95 million plan with the state to rehabilitate and develop the community. The plan is expected to be approved soon. The kibbutz was largely destroyed in 2023 by Hamas terrorists, with many residents murdered or kidnapped. This plan includes building a new neighborhood and supporting long-term rehabilitation processes. Surviving members are currently living in a different neighborhood.
