Several gunmen opened fire on Israeli troops in southern Syria, but were 'eliminated' by the Israel Defense Forces. The troops were working to confiscate weapons and destroy terror infrastructure. No soldiers were injured in the exchange and the operation was completed. This is the second incident of IDF troops coming under fire since deploying to the buffer zone along the Israel-Syrian border.
