Lebanese leaders have reached a unified position on border demarcation to present to the US envoy, who is scheduled to arrive in Beirut. They agreed that there will be no negotiations with Israel regarding a prisoner swap or withdrawal from occupied areas, but are open to discussing disputed land border points. The Lebanese Army is fulfilling its duties by being deployed south of the Litani River and confiscating weapons in the border area. President Aoun emphasized that Lebanon's interests come above anything else and called on security bodies to serve only Lebanon's interests and enforce the law. Maronite Patriarch Bechara Al-Rahi called for the unification of weapons in Lebanon and diplomatic solutions to address border demarcation and disarmament.
