The 14th annual Jerusalem Marathon has begun with tens of thousands of runners from Israel and around the world participating. The race takes runners through famous landmarks in the city, and is dedicated to honoring IDF soldiers and emergency responders. A released hostage, Karina Ariev, will run the 5 kilometer race and give a speech before the start. The marathon is expected to disrupt traffic in the city, but many residents are anticipated to come out and support the runners.
