US National Security Agency director and deputy fired from posts -- report

The director of the US National Security Agency and his deputy have been fired from their posts, according to the Washington Post. Timothy Haugh, also head of US Cyber Command, was dismissed along with his deputy, Wendy Noble. Noble has been reassigned to a job within the Pentagon's office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. The reason for their dismissals and reassignments is currently unknown. The NSA is a top intelligence agency in the US, while US Cyber Command conducts offensive and defensive operations and monitors the Department of Defense's networks.
