Labor MK Gilad Kariv is set to be questioned by police on suspicion of leaking classified information from a closed-door hearing of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Kariv denies harming the security of the country and intends to cooperate with the investigation. Leaks from the meeting, in which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a classified security briefing, were published in December. Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana previously ordered an internal probe that pointed to Kariv as the culprit behind the leaks.
