Israeli-born rabbi Yitzhak Meir Sabo has been arrested in Dallas, Texas, on suspicion of molesting a male student at the Akiva Yavneh Academy. Sabo, who also serves as the spiritual leader of Tiferet Israel congregation, has been placed on leave without pay. The allegations do not involve students in the school's Early Childhood Program or Lower School. The academy has initiated an internal investigation overseen by its board of trustees.
