'His name is Omri Miran': PM panned after failing to name Hungarian-Israeli hostage

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced criticism after failing to mention the name of Hungarian-Israeli hostage Omri Miran in a post on social media. Miran's wife and community members expressed their disappointment at Netanyahu's lack of acknowledgment. Miran was taken captive by Hamas terrorists in 2023 and has been held in Gaza for 548 days. Netanyahu's office stated that he had discussed Miran's situation during his visit to Hungary and requested the Hungarian Prime Minister's involvement in returning the body of another hostage for burial in Israel. Netanyahu's trip to Washington is expected to address the hostage issue and the recent collapse of the ceasefire deal.
