Israeli exports to US will take $2.3 billion hit under tariffs, industrialist org warns

Israeli exports to the US will take a $2.3 billion hit under tariffs, warns the Manufacturers Association of Israel. As many as 26,000 Israelis could lose their jobs if the 17% tariff remains unchanged. The association also warns that if the tariffs are expanded to include the pharmaceutical and chip industries, the damage to Israeli exports could reach $3 billion. The areas expected to be hit hardest are hi-tech, including biotech, plastic, metals, chemicals and fuels, robotics, and electronic components. The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange has also seen a decline since the announcement of the tariffs.
