Europe experienced its hottest March on record, with temperatures in the continent reaching 0.26°C above the previous record. The world also saw the second-hottest March ever recorded, falling just short of the previous record set in 2024. The high temperatures were blamed for driving rainfall extremes across Europe. In addition, a heatwave is expected to hit Israel, with temperatures forecasted to rise as high as 37°C. Climate change also intensified an extreme heatwave in Central Asia and fueled extreme rainfall in Argentina.
