The talks, set to take place in Oman, come as Trump's tougher approach towards Iran and its nuclear program is seen as an existential threat by Israel. Despite previous rejection of direct negotiations, Iran's foreign ministry stated that they will assess the other side's intent and give diplomacy a genuine chance. The talks will be led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, with the intermediation of Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi.
