The man charged with setting fire to the Pennsylvania governor's mansion cited Gov. Josh Shapiro's stance on the war in Gaza as his motive, according to a police search warrant. The suspect, Cody A. Balmer, expressed his belief that Shapiro's actions were leading to the deaths of Palestinians. Balmer, who had a history of mental illness, also admitted to harboring hatred towards Shapiro and said he would have harmed him if given the chance. The Pennsylvania State Police have seized several electronic devices for further investigation.
